Editorial Policy
Read the standards WHERE.YOU uses for original research, calculations, sourcing, financial product coverage, corrections, and automated article intake.

Standards for every page
A page must solve a distinct problem, show how its conclusions were reached, and state material limits before it can be published.
Useful before searchable
Every proposed page must solve a separate reader problem. We do not publish location swaps, keyword variants, search-result summaries, or thin pages to manufacture coverage. A related page must contribute its own method, calculation, example, decision rule, or evidence.
Evidence and calculations
Calculators expose assumptions, units, formulas, and limitations. Time-sensitive product terms require a current primary disclosure and a clear effective date. Illustrative figures are labeled and cannot be presented as customer results, testing, or a promised outcome.
Financial scope
General spending education is kept separate from individualized financial, tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice. A page that depends on regulated or jurisdiction-specific facts must identify the jurisdiction and use an appropriate primary source.
Human review and automation
Automation may help organize research, create an initial draft, generate a conceptual illustration, or move an approved article into the publishing queue. It cannot approve its own factual claims.
Pre-publication review
A responsible person must check the title, description, headings, body, calculations, links, structured data, and image description before an imported article can be scheduled. Approval is tied to a fingerprint of that exact revision. If the article changes, the approval becomes invalid and another review is required.
Quality gates
The publishing system blocks a missing review, duplicate title or slug, near-duplicate prose, a thin article, a second H1, an unsafe image source, vague internal anchor text, and an article with no relevant route into a WHERE.YOU guide or calculator. Passing these checks does not replace factual review.
Images and generated media
Some editorial illustrations are created with generative image tools. They are conceptual artwork, not documentary photographs, proof of product testing, or depictions of real customer accounts. Alt text describes the visible subject rather than adding search terms.
Independence and accountability
Commercial arrangements do not determine rankings or conclusions, and readers have a direct route for reporting factual or calculation errors.
Financial product coverage
Commercial relationships cannot purchase ranking or factual conclusions. Any affiliate relationship will be disclosed near the relevant content, and paid links will be identified for readers and qualified for search engines. We do not rank live offers that we have not verified.
Authorship and responsibility
The WHERE.YOU Editorial Desk is the publication role responsible for the permanent library. It is not a claim that an unnamed person holds a professional credential. A named contributor or specialist reviewer will be identified when one participates.
Corrections
Material corrections include the change and review date. Readers can report a correction or calculation issue with the affected page and supporting source. A change to wording alone does not justify a new freshness date.
